John V. Handelsman is a proven leader, known for his strong action orientation and strategic acumen. Decisive and fair-minded, he specializes in enrolling others in vision and raising their performance level by imparting a sense of ownership. In 2003, John founded Present Values as a multi-disciplinary management consulting firm. Through Present Values, John has been an interim CEO (STAR Financial Bank Equipment Finance, Axon Holdings, and Automated Cargo Transport Systems), a start-up president for First Financial Bank’s Equipment Finance group, and served as CEO of Al. Neyer, Inc.
Prior to Present Values, John founded and built The Vaughn Group, a highly successful commercial equipment finance business that he sold to a public bank in 2003. He was a finalist in 1998 and winner in 1999 of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Emerging Company category. John currently serves as chairman on a number of profit and nonprofit organizations. He studied at Albion College, concentrating in economics and management. John has been married for twenty-five years, has six children and three grandchildren, and resides in Cincinnati, OH.
Tom has been witnessing transformation in CEOs, senior-level executives, policymakers, and their organizations for more than twenty years. His list of specialties is long and includes human resources, organizational design, executive coaching, team alignment, performance, and execution. Tom has consulted with clients in a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, professional services solutions, construction, telecommunications, transportation and distribution, hospitality and travel, and manufacturing.
An adjunct professor and an executive education faculty member at the Michigan State University-School of Human Resources and Labor Relations, Tom has also served on the executive education advisory board for the University of Michigan.
With 26 years experience in real estate strategy, planning, entitlements, turnkey development, program management, and acquisition, Steve leads the Present Values real estate consulting and transaction service offerings. He is an industry expert in creating sustainable real estate solutions that align clients with their partners, tenants and communities.
Before joining our team, Steve spent the past 16 years sourcing and managing the delivery of medical office, ambulatory care and healthcare projects. He has also served as a facility planner and program manager for the U.S. Navy for ten years, delivering over $2 billion in multifaceted real estate projects worldwide.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science at Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. at the University of Maryland. He and his family are active in a variety of Christian ministries and community outreach programs. Steve currently serves as President of the Cincinnati Trailblazers board and is a member of the Outback Ministries, Inc. Cincinnati board chapter.
Mike has over 30 years of experience delivering results and leading organizations. He specializes in operational leadership, supply chain design, and improving operating culture.
Prior to joining Present Values, Mike had a successful career at P&G working on trusted brands such as Vicks, Pepto, and Metamucil. Mike’s assignments included many leadership roles in operations, supply chain design, and several M&A deals.
Mike has passion for driving service, quality, cost, and cash results while building the capability of individuals and organizations.
